| Art Deco Savannah travel poster |
I was asked to submit an idea for the cover of
Connect Savannah's "Best of Savannah" issue. I'm not sure where it came from, but I had this idea to try to mimic or pay homage to art deco travel posters. I've always been a big fan of
Joseph Binder, an Austrian poster artist from the 30s and 40s. More recently I've really been digging the work of
Tavis Coburn. The Connect decided to go a different direction, but I kept working on the idea because it's kind of a new direction for me and taught me a lot of new techniques. You can see the results above.
